A potential issue with the battery is the reason why almost 1000 Maserati Quattroportes are being recalled across the United States. It seems like the technical issue increases the chance of the cable shorting out and therefore potentially starting a fire in the engine bay. It could also cause the car to stall “increasing the risk of a crash”.
